Karl Lagerfeld shot and styled a vintage advertisement for Dom Perignon featuring Claudia Schiffer. The shoot is supposed to tell a story of a rich couple who are faced with boredom. The male model Brad Koenig, fantasizes his wife in different costumes, which is the explanation for the naughty nurse outfit, the disco diva, and the marie antoinette ensambles.

Derek Lam Spring 2010 ready-to-wear collection

Lam's spring 2010 collection was fresh and colorful. Lam went looking for inspiration—Asbury Park, Rehoboth Beach, and other East Coast summer destinations, rather than the interior of Coco Chanel's Paris flat. "I haven't done full-on color for a while," he said, "and it feels like the right moment now." The collection was very reminiscent of American fashion in the 1940s,however with a dash of dazzling disco. High waisted hot pants in floral prints were hot, as well as the body suits, however i dont know many people besides Lady Gaga and Madonna that actually wear sexy body suits. I think I would look ridiculous if i tried to pull off this look, but Derek Lam did it, and he somehow made it look very sexy.

Devi Kroell Spring 2010

Devi Kroell is in its third season and has caught lots of attention for its Spring collection. The collection featured lots of fun, colorful prints; metallic polka dot prints; lots of shimmery gold dresses; and high waisted cropped trousers. Each look was adorned with brightly colored handbags and wedge shoes.

Rachel Roy Spring 2010

Rachel Roy's spring collection screams sexy, sophisticated working woman. Each item can be worn both in the office or out in the evening. The color palette was filled with lots of blacks, whites, and greys, and then a few pop colors such as lime green, hot pink, and cobalt blue. I love the sexy androgynous suits with the revealing silk blouses. For those who cannot afford Rachel Roy, look out for her diffusion line set to hit Macy's this fall.

Vena Cava Spring 2010

Vena Cava's Spring 2010 collection consisted of great pieces that can be worn everyday. They are elegant and classy. One look I particularly liked was the high-waisted khaki shorts with the cropped camisole. It has a fifties pin-up vibe to it. Other dresses were designed in safari-themed prints with wide necklines.

Purple Magazine Dinner Party

Purple Magazine, known for it's gritty twist on high end fashion, hosted a dinner party last night at the Standard Hotel's Boom Boom Room in Manhattan. Celebrities such as Chloe Sevigny, Lindsay Lohan, Mary Kate Olson, and Jered Leto made appearances.

VMA fashion

As far as fashion goes on the red carpet, the VMA's is always very outgoing. The scene was filled with studded mini dresses, sequined gowns, and classic black.Some of my favorite looks were from Alexa Chung, who kept it simple, yet sweet in a white babydoll minidress; Lady Gaga, who is always theatrical and has meaning behind her costume; Olivia Polermo, because she understand fashion and kept it minimal; and Taylor Swift, who sparkled like a princess.
