The cowboy-bandit inspired photo shoot featured in W magazine is pretty awesome. Not only does it feature one of my favorite models, Jessica Stam, but it gives off an Elvis-like country theme that is very representative of America.

Marc Jacobs Fall 2009 Ads shot by Juergen Teller

The newest advertisements for Marc Jacobs Fall 2009 collection were shot by Juergen Teller. The essence of the ad comes off raw and overexposed. The models featured are 22 year old Olga Sherer, who is featured flaunting her butt in pretzel-like positions. Another ad shows a completely obliterated model hanging like a coat over a rail in her Marc Jacobs ensamble. It reminds me of myself!!! Overall, I love the Fall 2009 Marc Jacobs adverts and love the candidness and humor behind the shots.

Another Magazine Quarterly Issue

Quarterly publication Another Magazine is celebrating the end of a decay with their new issue which features four different cover girls. It includes 28 designers who define the decade who have been teamed with 28 women who define style from Carine Roitfeld to Kylie Minogue. The designers involved include Burberry Prorsum, Calvin Klein, Chanel Haute Couture, Marc Jacobs, Gucci and Stella McCartney. Kate Moss, Natalie Portman, Vanessa Paradis and Katie Holmes are the different cover girls for the collectors edition of the magazine as they pose in John Galliano, Lanvin, Chanel and Alaia respectively.

Editor in Chief Jefferson Hack commented,
“At the end of this decade there should be a celebration of how far fashion and design have come, for the amazing new voices that have emerged and the reinventions which others have undergone. I am overjoyed that so many incredible women took part in this project; a chance to rise above these current fractured economic times and give real creativity in fashion its due.”
