Derek Lam Spring 2010 ready-to-wear collection

Lam's spring 2010 collection was fresh and colorful. Lam went looking for inspiration—Asbury Park, Rehoboth Beach, and other East Coast summer destinations, rather than the interior of Coco Chanel's Paris flat. "I haven't done full-on color for a while," he said, "and it feels like the right moment now." The collection was very reminiscent of American fashion in the 1940s,however with a dash of dazzling disco. High waisted hot pants in floral prints were hot, as well as the body suits, however i dont know many people besides Lady Gaga and Madonna that actually wear sexy body suits. I think I would look ridiculous if i tried to pull off this look, but Derek Lam did it, and he somehow made it look very sexy.
