New York Fashion week has kicked off and designers are showing their Spring 2011 collections. For Spring 2011, Jason Wu showed that pants can be sexy and colors are key. Models were sent down the runway wearing sheer blouses with high waisted trousers, both loose fitting and tailored. All were accessorized with turbans on their head and 50s inspired sunglasses. Wu also did a great oversized twill blazer with a flower on the shoulder. He pays great attention to detail in all of his dresses, using ruffles, sheer ruching, and a great color palette of violet, barbie pink, gold, and mauve. This show was also the official launch for Wu's accessory collection ranging from handbags, shoes, and sunglasses.
