Ports 1961's Spring collection was inspired by a trip to the Sahara. Designer Fiona Cibani "wanted to create an urban interpretation of someone whose dreaming of the desert." The color palette consisted of lots of nudes, champagnes, and icy metallics, mixed with brights such as jeweled green, bubblegum pink, and bright blue. Freja Beha Erichsen, the face of Chanel at the moment, was the first model to walk out on Ports 1961 runway and she was sporting a belted cape khaki jacket with camel colored tapered trousers. There were also lots of pretty white day-time dresses and sexy black cocktail dresses. The show ended with lots of dreamy metallic evening dresses.
